Kasha’s Tent
In character as the fortune-teller Kascha, Katharina Bromka invites visitors to a personal one-on-one session in her tent, using her insights into love, society, and transience to predict your future. Her horoscopes are sometimes direct, sometimes comforting – and always just as surprising as the future itself.
Kascha’s Tent is a permanent part of the exhibition Knotenkuss. Even when the fortune-teller herself is absent, visitors are warmly invited to take a look inside the tent, make themselves comfortable, and listen to a recording of one of Kascha’s dream journeys.
Following her performance, we will join Bromka – as an artist and representative of the collective Meine Damen und Herren – and photographer Felix Posner for a discussion about the exhibition. The discussion will be moderated by Simon Schultz, a Hamburg-based performance artist, researcher, and educator.
Katharina Bromka has been part of the theater ensemble Meine Damen und Herren since 2007. She has appeared in various productions, including at Kampnagel, Lichthof Theater, and FFT Düsseldorf. She can currently be seen in the recently released feature film Luisa. Bromka brought her idea for a fortune-teller’s tent to life as part of MD&H’s “self-directed projects” initiative. The intimate one-on-one performance Kascha’s Tent premiered in February 2026.
