Venues
The 9th Triennial of Photography Hamburg 2026 comprises eleven exhibitions held across eight museums and galleries throughout Hamburg. In addition, 15 projects will be presented at a range of project and art spaces spread across the entire city as part of the Triennial Expanded programme. All venue addresses can be found on the Triennial’s map.
The Triennial Info Point can be found at the Festival Centre located in front of the Deichtorhallen Hamburg. This outdoor area serves both as an event venue and as a space for congregation, relaxation, and reflection.
Times
The Info Point at the Festival Centre is open as follows:
- on June 4 from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM
- on weekdays from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- at weekends from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM
Opening times for individual exhibitions vary – all relevant information is listed on the respective venues’ pages. The times of the events can be found in the digital events calendar on our website.
Triennale Ticket
The Triennial Ticket provides access to all 11 exhibitions held across the eight participating museums and galleries from June 4–14. It can be purchased at the ticket desks of participating institutions for €35 (or €28 with a Hamburg Card) or at a discounted rate* of €25 (or €18 with a Hamburg Card). Triennial Tickets cannot be purchased online.
From June 15 onwards, the price of admission to each exhibition will be based on the respective institution’s regular entrance fees. Kunstmeile Tickets are also valid for Triennial exhibitions (where applicable).
*Discounted Triennial Tickets are available to students, trainees, and voluntary service participants up to the age of 27, severely disabled persons, unemployed persons, welfare recipients, and senior citizens. Relevant ID required. Entrance is free for children and young persons up to the age of 18.
Fotosommer is an open platform for spotlighting photography-related exhibitions and events taking place in Hamburg alongside the 9th Triennial of Photography. From June 5 to September 22, 2026, members of Hamburg’s independent art and photography scene can freely add their projects to the platform themselves via an online form, thus providing an overview of the diverse array of photography-related activity taking place in Hamburg beyond the official Triennial programme.
Languages
The official languages of the 9th Triennial of Photography Hamburg are German and English. The language(s) in which particular events will be held is clearly stated in the respective calendar entries on our website.
