The 9th Triennial of Photography Hamburg 2026 comprises eleven exhibitions held across eight museums and galleries throughout Hamburg. In addition, 15 projects will be presented at a range of project and art spaces spread across the entire city as part of the Triennial Expanded programme. Fotosommer is an open platform for spotlighting photography-related exhibitions and events taking place in Hamburg alongside the 9th Triennial of Photography. From June 5 to September 22, 2026, members of Hamburg’s independent art and photography scene can freely add their projects to the platform themselves via an online form, thus providing an overview of the diverse array of photography-related activity taking place in Hamburg beyond the official Triennial programme.

The official languages of the 9th Triennial of Photography Hamburg are German and English. The language(s) in which particular events will be held is clearly stated in the respective calendar entries on our website.
