Sonic Bodies: wenner pennt

During the Opening Days, the Sonic Bodies event series invites key figures from Hamburg’s cultural and music scene to the festival centre of the 9th Triennial to explore the themes of Alliance, Infinity and Love through performance, music and discussion with the audience. The series sees itself as an open space of resonance between art, sound and urban society – as a place of encounter, listening and collective experience.

wenner pennt (aka Heinrich Holtgreve) plays music like wet Polaroids in the glove compartment.
Somewhere between yacht rock, vaporwave and bittersweet hotel lobby euphoria, he creates a set for anyone who’d rather gaze wistfully at the sky than dance to the beat. The soundtrack to messages you never sent.
