Get In, Next Exit: Trans*port
Together with Harry Hachmeister, Lio Kappel and Aimilia Theofilopoulos invite you to join them on a slightly different truck ride: a journey through trans* landscapes, images, and mental worlds. First stop: Odo’s Kaffeeklappe – for coffee and Mettbrötchen, and a short break to ponder existential questions. In the truck cabin, we will reflect on photography and discuss perspectives, bodies, and visibility, but also the truly important things in life: the perfect snack for long drives or the best song for the Autobahn.
Between headlights, homesickness, and humour, one thing remains central: trans*port – and all the wit, the weight, and the beauty contained within it.
Harry Hachmeister (b. 1979, Leipzig, DE) lives and works in Berlin. He studied at the HGB Leipzig, and his interdisciplinary works incorporate photography, illustration, painting, and ceramics into explorations of identity, body image, and gender, as well as questions of self-perception and societal attribution As part of his residency with the Between Bridges foundation, he developed the Gym Buddies Berlin project, which brings together physical training, artistic practice, and queer-inclusive community spaces.
