Developing with Light and Care

About the project
In this cyanotype workshop, children aged 8 – 13 will be able to experiment with paper and fabric, exploring light, shadow, and composition, and learning how images emerge through natural light and cyanotype chemistry. They will work both individually and collaboratively, observing and discussing each other’s work. Alongside creativity, this approach also encourages dialogue, reflection, and shared responsibility: participants will not only develop technical skills, but also cultivate empathy, awareness, and a sense of responsibility toward each other and the world around them—echoing the festival’s call to acknowledge and engage with the Other.
The participants are welcome to bring their own personal items, such as old developed film, jewellery, lacework, etc. to be included in the process.
