With a little hindsight, we look back on the Opening Days of the 9th Triennial of Photography Hamburg 2026 – eleven days full of encounters, new perspectives, inspiring conversations and shared experiences. 

During this intense period, we opened exhibitions, listened to talks and discussions, met new people, exchanged ideas and celebrated together.  

In an era often characterised by separation and isolation, the Opening Days served as a living example of what Alliance, Infinity, Love – in the Face of the Other can mean: moments of closeness, solidarity, mutual respect and the imagining of new futures. 

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made these Opening Days possible and supported them: Thank you! Without you, they would not have been what they were. 

The exhibitions of the 9th Triennial of Photography Hamburg 2026 remain open – many until autumn, some even beyond. Individual events and programme items are also still taking place.
