"Resonating Images from Peru"

The intimate portraits, documentary photos, and music recordings created by amateur researcher Hans Heinrich Brüning (1848–1928) continue to resonate strongly in Peru to this day. This collaborative exhibition shows how Peruvians are reinterpreting his photos and recordings – artistically, musically, and in the digital space – thus transforming colonially influenced documents into living archives of cultural self-determination.
