"Melike Kara, Whispers" Guided tour with curator Anna Nowak

In an interactive guided tour, curator Anna Nowak will offer insights into the creative process behind Melike Kara’s exhibition Whispers and its underlying themes. 

The large-scale installation, which the artist developed specifically for the Kunsthaus Hamburg, explores questions of identity, memory, and transformation. The project marks a turning point in her practice: rather than embodying identity, the artist asks how it can be integrated or even dissolved, and for the first time has burned parts of her photographic archive, which, having been reduced to ashes, have then been integrated into the exhibition.
