Cale Garrido

Cale Garrido is currently curator of the 9th Triennial of Photography Hamburg 2026 and was already part of the curatorial team for its 8th edition in 2022. Her collaboration with the festival began in 2018 as assistant curator for an exhibition with Joan Fontcuberta. In addition, she works as an independent curator and author with a focus on contemporary photography and lens-based media. Her practice includes exhibitions, publications, and film programs, with an emphasis on social and ecological issues. She has collaborated with institutions such as C/O Berlin, the RAW Photo Triennale Worpswede, the Biennale dell'immagine Chiasso, and the Kaunas Photography Gallery. She also teaches as a guest lecturer at the Ostkreuzschule für Fotografie in Berlin.
