Overview

On June 6, 2026, the Freundeskreis des Hauses der Photographie e.V. is inviting around 40 aspiring photo artists to present their portfolios to international experts from the world of photography. Participants will have the opportunity to receive feedback, expand their professional networks and discuss future trends in photography during round-table discussions. The best portfolios will be honoured with the Best Portfolio Award.

Programme

The day begins with an introductory session and a brief presentation of all the experts and participants. In-depth one-to-one discussions will focus on portfolio presentation, the positioning of one’s own work and individual questions. In the afternoon, there will be a portfolio walk for members of the Freundeskreis, followed by the programme of the 9th Triennial.

Experts

Among the approximately 15 renowned reviewers are figures such as Alexa Becker (coaching and publishing), Prof. Dr Karen Fromm (Professor at Hanover University of Applied Sciences and Arts), Nadine Isabelle Henrich (curator, Haus der Photographie) and many more. International representatives of the 9th Triennale include: Steven Evans (Houston FotoFest), Louise Wolthers (Hasselblad Foundation), Julia Bunnemann (The Photographer’s Gallery), Marit Lena Herrmann (Foto Arsenal Wien), Orlan Ohtonen (Finnish Museum of Photography) and Zohreh Deldadeh (freelance curator and art historian).
